Lasha Magradze has been appointed Deputy Minister of Justice, the Ministry of Justice has announced.
Magradze previously served as First Deputy Minister of Justice before being transferred to the State Security Service (SSSG) in September 2025, where he became First Deputy Head. At the time, the SSSG was managed by Mamuka Mdinaradze.
According to the Ministry, Magradze is a lawyer who graduated from the Faculty of Law at Tbilisi State University and Columbia University’s Law School. He has held senior positions in both the public and private sectors.
The Ministry says Magradze has 20 years of experience in criminal justice, the enforcement and judicial systems, judicial training, anti-corruption, rule of law and human rights. He has also worked with international partners on institutional and program reforms in the justice sector. Before returning to the Justice Ministry, he served as First Deputy Head of the State Security Service.
