Nobody Wants To Cooperate With The Countries That Have A Sanctioned Gov't - Koka Topuria

კონსტანტინე თოფურია

The rector of the University of Georgia, Konstantine Topuria, is sure that a dictatorship cannot be established in Georgia by the force of "Russian Law".

"This law will not take root in our country," he said in a conversation with BMGTV, adding that by adopting the "Russian Law", the Georgian government has doomed the country.

"It is a pity that now, when Georgia has been given the opportunity to return to the center of the world, our government has separated us from the rest of the world. In my estimation, those people who passed such a verdict on Georgia are traitors to the country, but I am sure that the dictatorship that Russia wants cannot be established in Georgia. A strong civil society has been formed in Georgia, which you will not find in the territory of the former Soviet Union. Thus, where 80% of the population does not want, it is unthinkable to adopt a dictatorial regime", said Konstantine Topuria.

However, despite the challenges and the statements of international partners that they will reconsider the cooperation with Georgia, the rector of the "University of Georgia" hopes that the Georgian people will "judge" the ruling party in the October parliamentary elections and Georgia will return to the path of European integration.

"I call on everyone not to leave Georgia before the elections," says Konstantine Topuria.
