On Friday, September 13, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk.

According to the Armenian government’s press service, the meeting focused on issues related to the bilateral agenda between the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation.

The two sides also discussed cooperation within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).

Armenia joined the EAEU in January 2015.

Within the EAEU, the free movement of goods, services, capital, and labor is ensured, along with the implementation of coordinated or unified economic policies. These measures are outlined in the EAEU Treaty of May 29, 2014, and other international agreements within the Union.
