The Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure has announced traffic restrictions and special movement regulations on certain roads throughout Georgia due to heavy snowfall, blizzards, and poor visibility.
The department has lifted the avalanche threat for the Mleta-Gudauri section of the Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi road, allowing all types of vehicles to resume movement. However, traffic remains banned on the Gudauri (Posta)-Kobi, Nichbilisi-Didgori-Didi Toneti, Zugdidi-Jvari-Mestia-Lasdili, and Kutaisi-Tskaltubo-Tsageri-Lentekhi-Lasdili roads.
Additionally, the movement of trailers and semi-trailers is prohibited on the Khashuri-Akhaltsikhe-Vale, Akhaltsikhe-Ninotsminda, Akhalkalaki-Kartsakhi, Koda-Partskhisi-Manglisi-Tslka-Ninotsminda, Kutaisi-Tkibuli-Ambrolauri, Nakerala Pass, Sachkhere-Uzunta-Schkmeri-Zudali, and Jvari-Ushguli sections of the Zugdidi-Jvari-Mestia-Lasdili roads.
4WD vehicles are permitted to drive on the Vaziani-Gombori-Telavi, Lentekhi-Mele, Goderdzi Pass, and Tskaltubo roads.
