The seasonal flu immunization campaign launched today across Georgia.
The Health Ministry reported that the Georgian government acquired a four-component anti-flu vaccine from Abbott Biologicals B.V., recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO).
Priority will be given to high-risk groups, including patients with hepatitis C, diabetes, or chronic illnesses, followed by the elderly, teachers, medical personnel, pregnant women, and children.
Immunization will be available to all starting November 4 and be free of charge.
