TAV Georgia, the managing company of Tbilisi and Batumi airports, has presented its year-end report to the Government of Georgia

On December 18th, 2024, the management of Tbilisi and Batumi International Airports held an annual meeting with the Prime Minister of Georgia, Mr. Irakli Kobakhidze, to review the achievements of 2024 and discuss upcoming projects for both airports.

During the meeting, the parties highlighted the record-high passenger traffic for the year, with Tbilisi reaching 4.8 million passengers, a 30% increase compared to the previous year, and Batumi reaching 945,000 passengers, a 52% increase. This growth underscores the importance of the airports in supporting the region's connectivity and economic development.

Completion of sizable projects at Tbilisi International Airport in 2024 were highlighted:

  • Extension and renovation of the Departure and Arrival Terminal passport control zones.
  • Asphalt works covering 20,000 square meters on the airside.
  • Establishment of new aircraft parking areas totaling approximately 30,000 square meters.
  • Various other infrastructure investments aimed at capacity enhancement.

The meeting also focused on the technical needs and plans for 2025, ensuring that both Tbilisi and Batumi International Airports continue to meet the growing demands of passengers and airlines by developing more connectivity, attracting more tourists and ensuring the best travel experience. The company stated that it is willing to invest further to increase capacity and demand at both airports.
