TBC Bank has a new General Director as TBC Group announces management changes. Giorgi Tkhelidze has assumed the role of General Director of TBC Bank Georgia, having previously served as Deputy General Director responsible for Corporate and Investment Banking. Meanwhile, Vakhtang Butskhrikidze continues as General Director of TBC Group, a position he held alongside his role as TBC Bank’s CEO until now.
“Vakhtang Butskhrikidze will continue his work as General Director of TBC Group, focusing on the strategic development of the group in Georgia, Uzbekistan, and international markets,” TBC stated in its official announcement.
TBC Group is the holding company that owns both TBC Bank Georgia and TBC Uzbekistan. As such, Giorgi Tkhelidze will lead TBC Bank in Georgia. These changes will come into effect on March 1, 2026. Butskhrikidze has served as TBC Bank’s CEO since 1996, after holding various management roles within the bank from 1992 to 1995, and has been the CEO of TBC Group (TBC PLC) since 2016.

TBC Group (TBC PLC) is listed on the London Stock Exchange, with one share currently priced at £43.20, giving the bank a market capitalization of £2.4 billion.
For TBC Bank Georgia specifically, the bank’s total assets amount to GEL 39.1 billion, the loan portfolio stands at GEL 27.2 billion, and deposits total GEL 25.5 billion.
