Tbilisi City Hall has announced a GEL 4.88 million tender to rehabilitate sidewalks along Rustaveli Avenue and Kostava Street, from the Philharmonic Hall to Rustaveli Metro Station, as part of a broader urban upgrade in the Mtatsminda district.
The project includes removal of damaged pavement and installation of a new travertine surface, along with accessible infrastructure for people with disabilities, tree protection structures, and full renewal of the sidewalk base.
Additional works will cover drainage system installation, bicycle lane improvements, waterproofing of underground passages, new fire hydrants, upgraded utility channels, street lighting, and underground waste containers.
Bidding opens on July 22 and closes on July 27. Contractors must complete the works within 60 days and demonstrate prior experience in similar public space rehabilitation projects.
