Tbilisi City Hall plans to build a 7.5-kilometer tram line from Didi Digomi to Didube metro station. According to the project, the new route will have 11 stops and will be served by 10 wagons. It will pass through Mirian Mepe Street, Agmashenebeli Alley, Grigol Robakidze Avenue, will cross the Shota Shalikashvili Bridge, and its final stop will be near Didube metro station.
Construction works will be carried out using the Design-Build (DB) method, which involves both the preparation of design documentation and direct construction. According to the project, the tram line will connect the 3rd and 4th microdistricts of Didi Digomi with Didube metro station, which will significantly improve passenger movement.
According to the project, one tram should be able to transport at least 300 passengers.
According to the Tbilisi Transport Company, the bidder must have a total turnover of at least 50,000,000 USD in 2022-2024.
In addition, the purchaser will pay the supplier an advance payment of no more than 20% of the contractual value, taking into account that in 2025 no more than 20,000,000 USD will be paid from the advance payment.
The market survey will be completed on April 23, 2025.
