The turnover of domestic trade in Armenia for the first quarter of 2024 increased by 26.5%

The turnover of domestic trade in Armenia for January-March of the current year amounted to 1.2 trillion drams (about $3 billion), which is 26.5% more than for the same period last year.

According to the Statistical Committee, in March 2024, this indicator reached 489 billion drams (about $1.28 billion), which is 30.4% higher than in March 2023, and 20.1% higher than in February of this year.

For the first quarter of the current year, domestic trade in Armenia demonstrated positive dynamics. The turnover of wholesale trade amounted to 804.4 billion drams (over $2 billion), which accounts for 65% of the total trade volume for this period. This is an increase of 39.8% compared to the same period last year.

The turnover of retail trade in the same period amounted to 388.5 million drams (about $1 billion), which accounts for 31.4% of the total volume. Here, there is also a positive growth - 9.3%.
