The share of exports made up USD 5 billion 592 million in the trade turnover of USD 19 billion in 2022, which was 31.8% higher than the income received from the sale of goods in 2021.
Natural grape wines were one of the main exporting commodities in 2022 like the other years. Among the ten largest goods, wine took fifth place with a 4.5% share, and the increase in sales totaled to 5.5% in 2021.
The value of wine sales in 2022 hit a record high and amounted to USD 252 million 531 thousand. In total, 106,693 tons of wine were sold in different markets last year.

According to official statistics, Russia remained the main sales market for wine in 2022, the rate of exports dependence on this country increased. Official statistics show that 63.7% of total wine exports accounts for Russia , while this figure stood at 54.6% in 2021.
