Captain of the Georgian national basketball team and forward for Virtus Bologna, Tornike Shengelia, has become an investor in ARCHI’s largest development project, Grand Avenue. The company announced the partnership, calling it a significant collaboration that reflects shared values of ambition and excellence.
Shengelia described his decision to invest as a natural extension of his philosophy both on and off the court. “In basketball, we learn daily how to manage emotions, risks, and time, and the same principles apply in business,” he said. “Finance is an integral part of sports, and diversification is crucial. Real estate is one of the most solid and tangible investment directions, and in this field, I couldn’t imagine a better partner than ARCHI, a company that stands for reliability, quality, and long-term vision.” Shengelia added that his investment in Grand Avenue is his largest to date, underscoring his confidence in the company and the project.
ARCHI presented Grand Avenue to the public on September 20. The large-scale mixed-use complex, located on Dadiani Street near Dinamo Stadium, is being developed under the “city within a city” concept. It quickly became the company’s most sought-after project, with 644 apartments sold in just five hours, setting a new sales record for ARCHI.
The Grand Avenue development will feature a range of premium amenities, 75% green and recreational spaces, co-working areas, indoor and outdoor pools, spa and sports facilities, a museum, a 2,500 sq.m. gym, a gastronomic hub, and educational and entertainment zones for children. The complex will also include an underground tunnel connecting it to Tsereteli Avenue. The project was designed by world-renowned architect Wei Yap Oi, landscape designer Bob Earle, and Chapman Taylor architects Ian Dykema and Alvaro Alonso Martinez, using environmentally friendly, energy-efficient materials that meet international standards.
