Mary Lawlor UN Special Rapporteur for human rights defenders, expresses concern over the seizure of the accounts of five charitable foundations in Georgia.
"Very concerned by the freezing of bank accounts of 5 NGOs in Georgia, including Human Rights House Tbilisi, who do vital human rights work. That this forms part of an investigation into the Nov/Dec 24 protests is disturbing. I call for the decision to be reversed & attacks on HRDs & peaceful protestors to be prosecuted", - Mary Lawlor wrote.
