Representatives of the tourism industry already feel the effects of the "Russian Law". As Ani Alibegashvili, the founder of hotel Step Inn Kazbegi, told bm.ge, bookings are canceled every day, about 7-10 rooms per day, as a result, Step Inn Kazbegi loses from GEL 5000 to GEL 8000 GEL per day.
"Any process has a very sharp and immediate impact on tourism, unlike the other businesses.
Bookings are canceled every day. Tourists often write us and ask how close the demonstrations are held from Kazbegi and if is it safe for them to come.
It is difficult to talk about the financial loss, however, our business sees a loss of about 5000-8000 GEL per day.
We were expecting a good tourist season from April, and the number of tourists increased. We had many guests from Eastern countries, as well as from Germany and Poland," said Ani Alibegashvili.
As for the expectations, the founder of the hotel says that she expects a "tough season".
"Winter was quite difficult, summer will be equally difficult, this process will not end in the medium term," - Ani Alibegashvili notes.
