The Budget and Finance Committee held a working meeting within the framework of the draft law on Securitization, the parliamentary platform of public-private dialogue.
As the Chairman of the Committee, Irakli Kovzanadze, elucidated, the purpose of such meetings is for members of the Parliament to get thorough and comprehensive information prior to considering the draft law, which is a tradition of the Committee. As Irakli Kovzanadze stated, the Parliament will start considering the bill next year.
"There are still many details to be clarified, I believe the draft law is interesting from the point of view that it increases access to capital and allows for alternative resources", - Irakli Kovzanadze noted.
Members of Parliament, representatives of executive authorities, and experts participated in the discussion.
Within the framework of the draft law in the parliament, the parliamentary platform of public-private dialogue, the working meeting was held in cooperation with the Budget and Finance Committee, the Global Compact Georgia Network, and the support of the USAID Economic Governance Program.
