Wellness Resort "Bioli" is switching to a new mode of operation from November 1. Bioli restaurant hall will become an event space, while daily bookings of the cottages will stop until summer, and guests can to rent them from 1 month to 1 year.

According to Bioli founder Tamaz Mchedlidze, the new regime will continue until new development project for the second part of the "Bioli" is finished.

"We are going to develop the second part of the territory, where a large outdoor pool with a retractable glass dome will be arranged, a 60-room wooden eco-hotel, as well as 4 additional wooden cottages will be built and the lake will be renovated. It is planned to complete the construction works by next July, but I am not sure that it will come out", says Tamaz Mchedlidze.

According to the founder of "Bioli", the company will invest USD 13 million to create new infrastructure. Until "Bioli" wellness services are restored in Kojori, they will be available in the new branch in Tbilisi, which will also be operational from November.

As the founder of "Bioli" explains, until now 13 cottages have been placed in the territory of the resort, which cannot meet the current demand.

"Wellness is one of the fastest-growing industries in the world. We are creating it for the first time in Georgia, so it is still a strange service to Georgians. More than 90% of our guests are from abroad - their number depends on the current political processes in the world, although we want to include Georgians in this process.

Accordingly, we are moving to a new stage of development, thus getting closer to what we should be. At this stage, there are 13 cottages in the territory, which is impossible to have enough for a perfect wellness resort", says the founder of the resort.

Tamaz Mchedlidze started creating the Bioli wellness resort in 2005 with the aim to offer a healthy life industry to the country, for which he has already invested USD 42 million.

The NBG continuously monitors the developments in the economy and financial markets and will use all available tools to ensure price stability.

The next meeting of the Monetary Policy Committee will be held on December 20, 2023.
