In January-May 2023, the exports equaled USD 2.5 billion (18.6 percent higher), - accoridng to the preliminary data from the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
As of the document, In January-May 2023 motor cars claimed the first place in the list of top export items, equaling USD 795 million with 31.8% of total exports. The exports of copper ores and concentrates totaled USD 315.7 million and their share in the total exports amounted to 12.6%. The exports of wine of fresh grapes occupied the third place standing at USD 103.5 million and constituting 4.1% of the total exports.

5) Nitrogen fertilizers - USD 85 million, a decrease from the previous year -44%
6) Spirituous beverages - USD 68 million, an increase of 71% compared to the previous year
7) Mineral and fresh waters - USD 52 million, an increase of 26% compared to the previous year
8) Waters, mineral and aerated waters, containing added suga - USD 45 million, an increase of 96% compared to the previous year
9) Medicaments put up in measured doses - USD 41 million, a decrease compared to the previous year -4%
10) Gold - USD 38 million, an increase of 9% compared to the previous year
The other commodities totaled USD 870 million, an increase of 15.7% compared to the previous year.
In January-May 2023 the share of the top ten trading partners by exports in the total exports of
Georgia amounted to 80.8 percent. The top partners were Armenia (USD 360.0 million), Azerbaijan
(USD 336.5 million) and Russia (USD 281.3 million).
