More specifically, according to official data, in 2025, in 4 months, Georgia received USD 2.9 million in revenue from chocolate exports and sold 496 tons of chocolate on international markets. In 2024, in the same period, this figure was 807 tons of chocolate amounting to USD 4.3 million in revenue. Of this, 180 tons worth USD 1.2 million were re-exported from Georgia, and the remaining 315 tons worth USD 1.7 million were sold as locally produced chocolate.
The main export market for Georgia this year is Armenia, where the country sold 143 tons of chocolate in 4 months and received USD 961 thousand in revenue from this. This market accounts for 28.8% of total chocolate exports.

This year, the volume of imported chocolate decreased by 8%, while the value increased by 19%, which means that chocolate has become significantly more expensive in importing markets.
The main importing country for the country this year is Russia, from which Georgia purchased 2,505 tons of chocolate worth USD 7.9 million. It holds 39.2% of the total chocolate imports.
