კირქვა

In recent years, Georgia’s exports of natural stones have been steadily increasing, with 2024 marking a record year. That year, exports reached 415,000 USD and 4,028 tons. In contrast, 2025 saw a slight decline, with exports totaling 264,000 USD and 2,913 tons of limestone products, including marble, tuff, and other calcareous stones.

Official statistics show that exports were significantly lower in previous years: 83,900 USD (937 tons) in 2023 and 119,000 USD (518 tons) in 2022. In the first quarter of 2026, exports reached 36,600 USD and 633 tons - below the 52,500 USD and 757 tons recorded in the same period of 2025.

Armenia remains Georgia’s top export market based on 2025 data, purchasing 1,925 tons worth 101,700 USD. China follows with 72,600 USD and 647 tons, and India ranks third with 70,400 USD and 251 tons. Smaller quantities were exported to Italy, Azerbaijan, and Greece. The export geography shifted in 2024, when China became the largest buyer, importing 2,544 tons worth 333,000 USD. Armenia and Italy followed.

In 2023, Armenia again led the list of buyers, followed by Israel, Greece, and Saudi Arabia - reflecting the changing yet increasingly diverse demand for Georgian natural stone in international markets.
